Free, Gay & Dappy
Flipping through some of the free gay mags bears fruit!
JustUsBoys.com has a "free gay guide to the sexy side of the Net." The May/June 2007 issue features the Ginch Gonch Boys on the cover and the following funny Boy Culture rave from Rentboy.com's Brandon Baker and Angel Benton (click the image to enlarge):
I love the threatened legal action. The jury would either be hung or you'd get your money back.
In the same issue is a lengthy Q&A with porn entrepreneur "Jake Cruise" that I found interesting. His shtick is that he's a regular guy (read: overweight, graying) who has sex with outrageously hot men. Apparently, he's very successful with this approach:
I have to admit I've seen dozens of snippets of Jake in action and they're very effective in that the men he finds are usually smokin' hot masculine men singing for their supper (accompanied by skinflute solos). Jake's story is a little unbelievable—he asserts that his shrink suggested the idea for his site. He had a Web background and allegedly the shrink "asked me if I had anything against porn" and "asked me why I didn't build a porn web site and make money that way." I can't really accept that this came out of the blue. But either way, the site is hot and on the rise. I'm strongly against the unsafe stuff on there (I know there is some, but I'm not sure how much), but otherwise, I'd say more power to Jake...except the dude with the money is always the dude with the power already, right? Isn't that the only reason why, in Jake's words, "a regular middle-aged man with a few too many pounds can have sex with some very hot guys, both straight and gay"?
The new (to me) Frontiers (April 24, 2007) has a great Big Gay Sketch Show cover, as well as a fab interview with director Amanda Bearse. I'm proud of my buddy Stephen Guarino and also of Eating Out 2's Michael Serrato (great guy) and I'm doing my part to support their funny show, watching it on LOGO and clicking on its site (that's how LOGO gauges popularity):
In the back of the issue are some Boy Culture premiere pix, and my partner José is thrilled to be on a first-name-only basis with the world, like Chayanne:
And finally, speaking of Eating Out 2—OMFG, am I the only person alive who realizes that the back ad hunk is a young Marco Dapper? The tattoos match. I didn't realize he'd done this kind of modeling, but it strongly makes me wonder if maybe he's also gone full monty donkey for any gay porn mags in the past?
Pigskin: The only way Marco would make a pass at a guy.
Much more Marco Dapper here.

It scares me how 'barebacking' is becoming just another variety of fetishism, instead of the health threath it is.
