Taking The Long View
Staring down the cast of Parting Glances.
I still think Parting Glances is probably the best gay film ever made, and thanks to Outfest, it's properly preserved. Speaking of preservation, the cast looks pretty terrific
after more than 20 years: John Bolger, Richard Ganoung, Kathy Kinney and Steve Buscemi got together for the restored version's Outfest premiere. (Where is Adam Nathan?) I'm kicking myself for not going this year. I proposed the idea that a gay magazine (The Advocate, Out or Genre?) should reunite the casts of classic/beloved gay films like Parting Glances and Desert Hearts for a Vanity Fair-style reunion; that never happened, but I'm glad Outfest took care of my favorite.
Don't miss a great Q&A with Steve Buscemi here.

I love the reunion idea, however, it's likely that only Vanity Fair could prob afford to do it.
