Trunzo Is Dunzo
Same-sex kissing is normal, Candace. Ask your staff!
UPDATE: Candace Trunzo has graciously apologized for the offending column.
Editor Candace Trunzo of Star Magazine owes the gay community a formal apology—and not just for allowing her dunce reporter Sandra to appear on My Life On The D-List last night (watching a clueless journalist refer to Kathy Griffin as "Kathie Lee" and then whip out a disposable camera to cover a story is required viewing).
In the August 6, 2007, issue of Star, the magazine's always annoying column "Stars: Are They Normal Or Not?" shows a picture of I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry co-stars Adam Sandler and Kevin James pretending to kiss...and now pronounces "Man to man" to be "NOT" normal.
"Pucker up, lover boys!" is Star's suggestion. My suggestion is that Star pucker up and kiss my normal, gay ass.
GLAAD and other gay groups went the extra mile to reassure us that Chuck And Larry was not anti-gay, despite its gay-panic theme. Many reviewers disagreed. I hope those groups will get past the fact that Star is a tabloid and realize that with its huge circulation it is also a powerful opinion-shaper—and that it should be called on its opinions when they include baldly stating that being gay is abnormal.
Tell Star off at letters@starmagazine.com.
(Further tabloid reading: Britney Spears is not OK! and Lindsay Lohan would like to buy the world some coke.)
Well it's obvious why she thinks man/man smooching isn't normal! She's clearly a big lezzie! If it were 2 chicks kissing, Candace would have labeled it "HOT!".
