Bruce Wrestling With The Angles
L'Uomo Vogue (January 2008) comes with Vogue Sport, which is all about "Big Men." One of the biggest is wrestling icon John Cena. I've never seen his appeal, though Bruce Weber offers a pretty good insight into it. Weber's pictorial is somewhat gimmicky—muscled man holding baby goat, Rambo-style camo with flesh peaking through—but it's probably Cena's own self-awareness that makes at least some of these less engaging than some of Weber's images of unknown college jocks. Still some good stuff:
