Makeup Game
Madonna—sans makeup—was looking like her old young self in L.A. That drastic blush in Berlin must have been what pushed her over the borderline from looking "rejuvenated" (as she does again here) to looking "reanimated." I love Madonna with no makeup or at least without much.
She was dining in Santa Monica last night, Sunday, February 17, with former co-star Pierce Brosnan, Nicollette Sheridan and her manager, Jew-who-rocks Guy Oseary.

How cute is she? I mean she is still amazing and what always impresses me about her is that after all these years...she still has that little smirk on her face when the cameras are on her....she lives for the attention.

Wow, you've got to love the level of class of a fan of Mariah Carey. I'd say she would be grossed out by fans who speak like this, except I think all she cares about is hitting #1. Thanks for reminding me why it's not juvenile to despise Mariah Carey and her "lambs." (P.S. How is a Mariah Carey fanatic anti-gay? I don't get it.)

Whether u r a mimi fan or not, his comments r a complete disgrace, wot a sad and tragic individual he must be. Im a massive Madonna fan and have been for 2 decades but that does not make it necessary for me 2 disparage Mariah or her fans. She's had the cheeks for a while now... yes, she has been having work done for a while, but you know, the cheeks just seem to be getting bigger and bigger, more severe looking, more plastic -- I don't think it's just make up. She looks fine... but as you pointed out in another post, she is starting to look less like herself. In fact, I think she is starting to look like Faye Dunaway... particularly in the cheek area! Maybe she can play Faye in a movie about Faye playing Joan. That would be very Madonna in a meta- sort of way.

Fightin-Spirit: Exactly. I may have made one or two unkind remarks about Mariah on my blog (but not many, really), but I'd never, ever go to a Mariah site and post trash about her. That's just so childish and negative, more negative that I'd ever want to be. I think if people have a serious problem with other people enjoying something, they should feel free to gripe about it, but if they then need to find a way to make that enjoyment stop, it's pathological and more about themselves than anything else.
Bears: Yes. But you gotta admit, the cheeks aren't nearly as offensive without makeup. They're pronounced but not the end of the world. But what's funny is...she had giant cheeks at the Revolver premiere and I don't think anyone reacted much. I think seeing her with an eyejob on top of it kind of underscored, "Oh, we're way past collagen now." I think if she were to let the cheeks go, they'd fade away naturally over time. Trouble is, I think she's into them because they're probably still less personality-changing than a full-on facelift. (I wonder if she's had a partial life—Joe showed me some pix of her with scars at the ears that I'd never seen and she was very taut during Confessions. This might also explain why she started tugging at her lower lip with her teeth around that time—it's either that or just the huge cheeks are pulling on the skin a lot.) All that said...I can't agree that she's gone into Faye territory yet. Faye Dunaway totally, utterly is not herself. Madonna's still there. I just hope she has her management read her some of the press about her appearance and realizes most of her fans would be okay with her wrinkles...

I am not fond over her white blonde hair colour. It´s too hard on her face. It was wearing thin already by the 94 BS cover. I would love to see her go back to the AL colour, her eyes really stood out.

I simply still find pleasure in Madonna. Or, rather, I find her in stimulating and engaging in a way that few others are - for me anyway. Whether it's good or bad, it hits be right in the sternum. Mariah Carey is entirely irrelevant to this experience. I have no feelings on her at all. This "theory of relativity" person is simply deranged and that's a shame for him/her. Moving on. M, I adore ya, but a few things: get a nice, notable trim, soften the color, gain about 10 lbs., and whatever you're doing with the cheeks, I think you've plateaued. (sp?) Love ya love ya love ya, and as always, looking forward to the new one. (Despite my general lack of interest in hip hop and R&B. Hey, I ain't sayin' it's bad, just not my game so much.) Madonna looks amazing here sans a lot of make up. These Mariah people are out of control she is fine and all - SUPER CHEESEY but come on she is no Madonna. Trust me when Mariah is eligible she will not be inlcluded in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame as Madonna is geting ready to be inducted to. Has anyone actually been to a Madonna concert and seen how much effort and talent this woman has?
