HardGrab a girl.

DjomouvydsFinally, Madonna's "4 Minutes" is available at iTunes—it's even free if you pre-order Hard Candy. She's got good airplay and will undoubtedly have good sales, so it looks like a shoo-in for the Top 10...which ain't shabby considering she's about five years older now than Tina Turner was during her Private Dancer comeback.

Just wanted to say I check your blog regularly for inspired M updates and the best thing about it for me is just how well you write. I am not one to flatter for no reason and I really REALLY appreciate it when people respect and love language and have such flair with it. Thank you!

Great news for our Royal Madgesty!!

Has anyone stumbled upon this tidbit over at DM.
It basically confirms what we suspected. It still shocked me though. I wonder what GLAAD would think of this.

Regarding US radio airplay:
________________________________
Finally, our reader Kevin has a suggestion when requesting online via "request". During the Confessions era one Los Angeles DJ actually made the ignorant comment that they weren’t playing ''Hung Up'' because they didn’t want to become known as the gay radio station. Another DJ Kevin spoke with suggested to him that Madonna's songs weren’t being played because requests weren’t being made by the correct age demographic for that particuliar station, but rather by "older Men." Sad but true story, but one that Madonna fans can combat tactfully. As most die hard fans recall Clear Channel did all but blatantly boycott Madonna during Confessions, so this time around we can play their foolish little game for The Queens sake. When you request online simply choose an age between 12 and 18 and use a girls name. Most websites don’t require a city or any other info so requesting is easy. Thank you!

Jeez, the L.A. thing is funny. It's probably hard to swallow that some people are openly gay as opposed to many of its closeted, silver-screening queens. :0)

Thanks so much, Sabel. I really appreciate that comment! Matt

I have to say I don't think she looks particularly gorgeous in these hard candy photo sessions. The fact that iTunes grabbed a pic from a different shoot just goes to show it.

I can handle the cover design controversy but I don't think she looks better in these pics than in previous albums.

I am obsessed with 4 Minutes too. I love it. I already preordered the deluxe version cd on itunes today. This song & this album deserve to go #1.

I was a sucker and pre-ordered the deluxe version withe the "4 Minutes" remixes and the "Secret Bonus" whatever-the-hell. What I'm really hoping for is that the non-album track "Ring My Bell" is a cover of the Anita Ward song!

Doubtful though, I'm sure.

Dan

You know, at first I thought it was a great song to be released to radio, but wasn't really "into" the song myself. It's not just my style of music. But the more I listen to it, I can't get it out of my head. It actually is a good song. And if anybody says it's a hit just because of Justin, remind them of a song called "Me Against The Music." Superstar duet hits are rare these days. Just ask Justin about his recent duet with Bouncy.

Like the others I pre-ordered the deluxe version just so I could get 4minutes and the Ring My Bell cover.

Still not sure about 4 Minutes, I think there is too much Timbaland singing in it. Not enough Madonna and just right about of JT.

I do think it's a good song and probably will have more air play than Hung Up. The latter is still better in my opinion.

One curious thing, 4 Minutes to Save the World reminds me of Die Another Day, instead of, Me Against the Music.
