FURTHER UPDATE: Finally—it's a done deal.
UPDATE: She may hit Chicago October 26...
All credit to Dave for the following scoops! It looks like Madonna's tour will be called the Sticky & Sweet Tour. Here's the rest of the low-down:
"www.stickyandsweettour.com was registered to "Ultrastar Entertainment ATTN: STICKYANDSWEETTOUR.COM c/o Network Solutions P.O. Box 447 Herndon, VA. 20172-0447 "the same people who run iconmadonna.com and madonna.com "And a few days prior to that the following was posted: "THE STICKY & SWEET TOUR."On Sale: Mid May
"*The tour will be announced towards the end of this week.
"*The tour logo at least at this point is the same font as the hard candy album font, with a rainbow effect to it, meaning its a bunch of different colors across the text.
"This is what I know about the US/Canadian Leg: I cant give exact cities, but this is the gist....
"*She will start in the north east beginning in Oct and then work her way west across canada (3 canadian cities/shows)
"*Then move down the west coast of the US, then hit 2 cities she doesnt normally do while making her way back to the east coast to hit the rest of the east coast dates, ending in Miami at the end of November.
"Most shows will be Stadiums.
"Presales for some initial shows (North East) will start towards the end of this month."

Woohoo! Bring it on! There goes my savings...

It's 2 AM here in Portugal and I can't really sleep since I found out about this a few hours a go. Portugal is not rumoured to be on the schedule but Spain is, with 2 concerts in Madrid. I have plans to be in Madrid in September already so I just have to delay them a few weeks to match her dates (28 and 29 Sept).
The anticipation is killing me, release the bloody final tour dates already. I'll be in Barcelona next week so I guess if the spanish tickets will be sold on May 16 like the french ones I might buy them in real person on a spanish store!
Too perfect, I think something might go wrong in my plan otheriwse it's just too perfect!

How funny 'her people' always say "this will be he final tour" and it never is...never say never
Just hoping the tickets will be affordable this time...but somehow I doubt if given the expensive precident she set for the last tour
DAMMIT!

John: I've since been pretty lucky with tickets, but I'll NEVER forget how awful that was. I got a message at my dorm from my friend saying "I hope it's not true that Madonna canceled?" and had to call you and I can still remember your voice saying "No she didn't." Was SO awful. Then I flew home alone and saw it on a TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE scalped ticket way up in the rafters in MI. Such an unenjoyable way to see her first big artsy tour at the height of her popularity. Gr.
I can't wait to see it again. If I didn't just get puppies, I think I'd be seriously planning to try to see it abroad. I still might. But NYC is a must.

I'm seriously not thrilled that the LA show is at Dodger Stadium. But, I guess I shouldn't complain. At least she's still coming here, and the MGM Grand in Vegas isn't too far away.

Ah, Rose Records. Those were the days! I was going to Northern Illinois University at the time and then left class to get my "wristband." I had tickets for the May 23, 24, and the 25th. I didn't feel so bad when the show on the 25th was cancelled because I had already seen her 2 nights in a row. I felt bad for the people who missed the show. Anyhow, I wonder how well tickets are going to sell this time in the USA? The economy is in a recession. Do you think all these people will really shell out $350 to see her at a stadium show?

Yes, Rose! It was a great place indeed. John and I waited in line (not at a Rose) on the North Side; I can't remember what the place was. I do think Madonna's tour will be successful. She should do "Borderline" and "Dress You Up" and a few other forgotten classics to mix in with her superb new stuff and I think she'll sell fine. There is a limit to her touring, and we'll see if she's about to reach it...but I think not. And next tour, she'll HAVE to reach out to other markets.
I love the Norris video; she's so funny with Justin.

I seriously doubt someone would call this 'her final tour' after the 120 million touring deal she just signed.

I'm pissed that she's not coming to D.C. She didn't come for Confessions either. So off to Philly it is . . . .

Just saw the show in Philly the other night. As always, the sets, dancers and band were amazing. I was disappointed in her costumes- not as creative as she once was. She looked great (even though she could use a few pounds)and danced more than in her last tour. She certainly knows how to work the audience and has always been one of my favorites and will continue to see her in Philly!
