John McCain has no decency left—it died many years ago, around the time of his natural life expectancy. Now, he's hitting Obama with an ad claiming Obama helped pass a bill to make sure kindergarteners get sex education. The truth? Not even close—the bill provides for age-appropriate sex ed along the lines of good touch/bad touch.
Which Bristol Palin obviously didn't receive in kindergarten or beyond.
(Obama has already fired back, calling it "shameful and downright perverse" and questioned John McCain's Honor. A great, biting bite-back.)
I hope Obama will be incensed by this outrageous ad, and
I want to see the same right back from him. There are now a myriad of issues on which he can nail McCain, from lying, to hiring the same guy who smeared him in 2000, to showing video of him actually saying, "I voted with George Bush 90% of the time," to the videos of him promising more wars, "100 years" in Iraq and the need to "bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran." We also need to have a series of hard-hitting ads on the Keating Five scandal, of which he was a part, ads targeting Palin's hometown rape-kit policy as well as new revelations that she billed Alaska for living and eating in her own fucking home.
I am pleased with Obama's latest ad, but I want more. The polls are settling back to even up again, but Palin will get tens of millions of viewers on Thursday and Friday in her soft-and-gooey sit-down with Charlie Gibson—and the polls could fluctuate again.
It's time for bare-knuckle fighting.
