Jeff Sessions (R-Alabama) is a blatant, flat-out racist, but that has not stopped him from accusing Sonia Sotomayor of being one. Here, he actually cites another judge "himself of Puerto Rican ancestry" and implies that her vote in the same case should somehow match his. Because, get it? They should all vote alike. Astonishing.
Sessions' greatest racist hits include terming the Voting Rights Act of 1965 "intrusive" and a white civil rights lawyer "a disgrace to his race" for working on voting-rights cases. He also "used to think they [the KKK] were OK" until he realized so many of them smoked pot. The list goes on and on.
