Yup, the teevee says it's the fourth worst, and this is the #1, all-time snowiest month.

LOVED it! It doesn't compare to winters I remember as a kid in Michigan...but it's still fun!

Why do New Yorkers use the adjective "worst" when describing virtually any weather event. How about the 4th biggest snow storm? What if a lot of snow isn't a bad thing to some people. It's not the worst then, right?

Marc: Many people like snow, but I see no issue in discussing a storm—which is different from some snowfall in that it disrupts business, calls for expensive and time-consuming cleanup, etc.—in less than glowing terms. Separate issue: NYC does overreact to all things weather-related.
