Pain In The Ass

Movie reviewer and conservative hobgoblin Michael Medved argues that sex between men is unnatural because:

"The most common sexual practice between two men involves an act of aggression—inflicting more pain than pleasure for at least one of the parties."

To that, I'd say:

(1) Anal sex is not the most common sexual practice of gay men

(2) Anal sex is no more "aggressive" than vaginal sex

(3) Anal sex doesn't necessarily inflict any pain; certainly, it's filled with more pleasure than pain if the one getting it wants it and is prepared for it

(4) Anal sex can in fact be less painful for a man receiving it than vaginal sex is for a woman receiving it depending on the man, the woman and their partners

(5) Anal sex is also a popular pastime between men and women

Sounds like someone is reviewing a movie he's never seen or only saw once but that gets better with repeat viewings.

Whatever happened to Michael Medved? He used to be the weird, quirky, kinda funny looking successor to Gene Shalit in the fawning movie review game. I guess he decided to get political when that wasn't working for him.
