Having recently reviewed Miss Abigail's Guide to Dating, Mating & Marriage, I was disappointed when its star, Eve Plumb, failed to materialize for any photo ops. But since I work around the corner and the publicist was kind, I was invited back to meet Plumb (she was supernice) and get the above total gift.

The best part is that when I went to sorta apologize to her because José had blurted out "gay marriage!" in response to a question that was supposed to be answered a different way back when we saw the show. I just wanted her to know he didn't do it to trip the up or be funny, it was just the first thing on his mind. Before I finished telling the story, she knew what I was talking about and told me she'd referenced it in a recent gay-media interview she'd given. For the record, Plumb (who paints still lifes when she's not acting) sees marriage as marriage, gay or straight.
