On the first day of my first ever visit to New York, I saw Heather Headley in Aida. She was amazing. What a great memory.

Cheyenne Jackson is my fave! I became a devout Cheyennetologist during the run of Xanadu. He made playing the part of Sonny Malone look effortless, with his dazzling, multi-octave spanning vocals and his ability to skate, act, deliver jokes and look stunning in shorts and a tank top, all at the same time. But most of all, he convinced me that a goddess would come to Earth to help his character, a major plot point in the delightful musical. It certainly doesn't hurt that Cheyenne is as lovely off-stage as he is fantastic on-stage. What a guy!

Bar none, Sutton Foster is my favorite musical comedy actress. I've seen her in Shrek, Young Frankenstein and despite both of the shows being so-so, I was enraptured every time she was on stage. Finally seeing her in Anything Goes, with a musical that did her justice was fantastic!

I would have to say that Hugh Jackman gave one of the best performances in the Boy From Oz! I took my Mom to see the show! Thought she would really enjoy the Peter Allen music and seeing Mr. Jackman! Not sure who loved the show more? A memory of a great NYC visit from my Mom that we will always remember!

Who you ask is my favorite musical-comedy star - why it is hard to pick just one, I will go with the performance Katie Finneran put on in the revival of Promises, Promises. She has some of the best timing I've seen in a long time and really blew it out of the water and was completely hysterical. "Do you like my coat, it's owl. Who..." perhaps the funniest delivery of a line I've heard in ages.

On my first trip to New York I got tickets to see "Falsettoes," and the performance I attended just happened to be the week that Mandy Patinkin joined the cast. What an amazing show, and what a brilliant performance by Patinkin! There are plenty of Broadway stars that I'm devoted to, like Cheyenne Jackson and Kristin Chenoweth. But 'ya never forget your first, 'ya know?!

Well, I have many favorite musical theatre actors and actresses, but if I had to go with specifically musical-comedy, hmm...Nathan Lane is probably the ultimate in the comedy genre, he just has impeccable comic timing and his facial expressions can't be beat!

It has to be Marissa Jaret Winokur in Hairspray. My very first Broadway show in my very first summer in the city. Her acting was on point and the production was impeccable. I get giddy just to think about how much fun I had, even with my nosebleed seat!

Sutton Foster has to get my vote. In a world where pop singers "Occupy Broadway", she is a true musical-comedy star. She is a brilliant singer, a fantastic dancer, AND she is a really stunning actress and comedian. Her performances from Millie to Anything Goes have proven her to be an "old school" musical theatre star who can do it all!

Without a doubt, it's Harvey Fierstein. He doesn't have what you'd call a musical voice, but he sure has been in a lot of musicals. His comic timing is impeccable and fearless. In HAIRSPRAY, he reminded me of when Bea Arthur use to dare to do a triple-take on MAUDE or could hold absolutely still, milking a laugh that she knew had more in it. Absolutely fearless comic timing. I wish someone would organize a Broadway Cares benefit reading of TORCH SONG TRILOGY so those of us who have only seen him in the truncated film version could hear him do the whole play. How hard would it be to convince Matthew Broderick (who's already played David--on stage-- and Alan--on film) to try his hand at playing Ed?

In my opinion, there's no one greater than Ethel Merman. Her incredible voice, her crackerjack wit & timing, and the fact she helped create some of the most indelible characters in musical theater history, and she created the modern diva as it's defined today. Angela Lansbury and Carol Channing are definitely close seconds, but Ethel, "You're the Top!"

Kristen Chenoweth - she is gay-friendly, oh-so-cute, oh-so-short, and can sing some crazy high notes. But mostly, she's just fun.

I am in Love with Cheyenne Jackson but if I had to go back in time I would have to deal with big problems as
Ethel Merman belts her heart vs the Magic of Gene Kelly in his years in the Theatre

In November I had the good fortune of seeing the new production of "Follies" which has been for the past 40 years, ever since I saw the original show, my favorite musical of all. I loved it. Not quite as good all around as the original but with one supreme advantage- Bernadette Peters! Without a doubt, my favorite musical performance of all time.

I would have to say if it was a star of today it would have to be Hugh Jackman. I originally saw him as Curly in the west end production of "Oklahoma" and he really shined through in that classic musical singing the songs brilliantly and playing the part to a T. Then saw him a few years later on Broadway in "The Boy from Oz" where he totally transformed himself into Peter Allen and knocked the audience off its feet. Recently saw his one man show on Broadway where he was beyond charismatic....singing dancing and giving it his all. He was the consummate entertainer with so much energy and talent. Also, let's not forget how good he was hosting the Tonys. The man can do it all and with matinee good looks too.

Mine would have to be John Laroquette in How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying. His comic timing was spot-on, he was simply wonderful in it!

Mine is definitely Sutton Foster. I first saw her in Shrek and thought she was hilarious, but then totally fell in love with her in Anything Goes. She took it to a whole new level. Im a fan and I'll go see anything she's in from now on.

My favorite musical comedy actress would have to be Kriston Chenoweth. She was absolutely brilliant in Wicked and she was just as wonderful in Promises, Promises.

I know that this might not count as a broadway star, but I was blown away by Jennifer Perry when I saw Mamma Mia! I went back 2 additional times just to see her perform again. I've never laughed so hard in a broadway show, everything about her "Rosie" was perfect. I'll go see any production she will be a part of in the future

My favorite comedy actress would definitely have to be Megan Hilty. She was fabulous when I saw her in Wicked, and I can't wait to watch her new show 'Smash'. I look forward to seeing her on the bway once her show is over

I'm a huge fan of Nathan Lane. He was spectacular on the Producers, and I was so thrilled to learn that he would be portraying Gomez addams. Needless to say, I was not disappointed once I saw the play, he was hilarious.

Definitely Bernadette Peters. I was actually named after her. She has been amazing in everything I've seen her in, both stage and screen. I have even played the same roles as her in Annie and Into the Woods in high school and college.
