In Touch (May 14, 2012) has the touching story of Good Morning America's Josh Elliott, who asked his dad at age 13 if he was gay and got a yes. His father came out and lived the rest of his short life without shame before dying unexpectedly of cardiomyopathy:

"The night before he died, I fell asleep on his couch, and he put a blanket over me. I grabbed his hand and for some reason said, 'Dad, I just want you to know I love you.' We found him early the next morning."
