Another '70s star has passed away in his seventies, hot on the heels of Sherman Hemsley—impossibly handsome Chad Everett of Medical Center fame. Everett passed away after battling lung cancer. I am ultimately Team Lily Tomlin (Lily left the set of The Dick Cavett Show in protest when right-winger Chad called his wife his—gulp—property), but Everett lives on in some fantasies from my youth and as a part of one of my favorite movie scenes of all time, from Mulholland Dr. (2001):
