Meeting Mr. Borgnine a year ago

Sorry to hear that Ernest Borgnine, until now the oldest living Best Actor Oscar winner and one of the world's oldest living movie actors, has passed away at age 95.

He was a staple at many of the autograph shows I attended and was supernice to everyone, not to mention hale and hearty for his extremely advanced age.

I'll never forget him for this particular talk-show appearance, even if it was on FOX (he was pretty conservative, including gay-unfriendly, but not so uptight in this one regard):
