James Taranto, Wall Street Journal columnist, wonders on Twitter if the girls saved by their boyfriends during the Aurora movie massacre were "worthy of the sacrifice." What an utterly tasteless thing to think let alone write. Worthy by whose standards? His? His paper's? I don't think it's possible to sound more elitist and cold-blooded, and I don't know many worse things those girls' families could read at a time like this.

Faced with criticism, the nasty bastard doubled down, claiming it was no worse than hoping that America is worth the sacrifice of its soldiers. Keep digging, you robot.
