Roseanne is way too overboard these days for me to love her as much as I once did, but I was unexpectedly moved by the reunion she had with Tom Arnold on her Comedy Central roast. I know...it makes no sense! I have no idea why. But I did once meet them both at a book signing in Chicago for her autobiography. It was the height of her fame and I had her sign her book and—as I was into having stars sign odd things back then—also the cover of Jet, which had Bill Cosby (her comedy rival) on it.

She wrote "YES!" on the Jet cover, whose headline asked, "Is Racism Still a Factor?"
