If you're a sentient being, you disagree with Senate hopeful Rep. Todd Akin (R-Missouri), who thinks "legitimate rape" can't really lead to pregnancy. But then there's Missouri Committeewoman Sharon Barnes (yes, a Republican), who says of babies created by rape, "At that point, if God has chosen to bless this person with a life, you don't kill it."

This really makes me reconsider how I feel when a Christian sanctimoniously says "blessings!" to me and/or refers to his or her life as "blessed" rather than "lucky."
