"Native New Yorker" singer Lillian Lopez, who fronted the group Odyssey, has died at 76 after a long illness, helping 2012 to continue as a terrible year for disco.

I absolutely love that song, and used to listen to/sing it when I lived in Chicago but dreamed of making the move to NYC. It was on the brilliant The Eyes of Laura Mars soundtrack.
