If I Didn't Know Better, I'd Suspect Madonna Is Not Very Nice

Finally, a pic from Madonna's much-talked-about Metscursion.

I think it's kinda shitty for Madonna to show up in Jerry Seinfeld's VIP Mets box after her high-profile association with beleaguered Yankees star Alex Rodriguez. Sure, some of her supporters will just say, "So what? She's seeing a ballgame...no message intended!" But come on. OUCH.

Still, the most noteworthy part of this is that it was Jerry Seinfeld's box—does no one remember when Elaine Benes was wearing an Orioles cap in a Yankees box on Seinfeld and caused a huge brouhaha?

Fans of The Real Housewives of New York City will appreciate the title, though fans of Madonna have yet another embarrassing comparable in Alex Rodriguez's love life—the man said to have hooked up with Madonna also lusted after an extremely masculine madame, was married to a sinewy shrew and now apparently adds smart-assed, horse-faced Bethenny from the show to his, er, stable. There is only so much "ick" factor I can take.

Much as I can't stand her, she's less annoying that most of her castmates. Here, she parodies them fairly wickedly, adding "backstabber" to the list of all her other admirable traits.

Egos On Steroids

I happen to love oversized egos.

This can't be an accident—not that Details remembered Madonna's 1986 Life shoot with Bruce Weber and duped A-Rod into repeating it (I'm sure it was a coincidence), but that Madonna would wind up linked to the type of guy who would pose kissing a mirror.

Interesting how seeing the Madonna (female) version, I think of "vanity" and "chutzpah." With the A-Rod (male) version, I think of "homosexuality."
