Jimmy Fallon's "The Evolution of Mom Dancing" skit—complete with an amazing assist by FLOTUS Michelle Obama—is hilarious and inspired. She is so game to do this, showing off that she has a sense of humor, but also that she can dance. Now that her husband has no worries about being elected again, maybe he can go back on Ellen's show and reveal that he's a good dancer, too. He was a little reserved that first time. Clip to follow, and it's right up there with one of my favorite presidential or First Lady clips ever...

This admittedly hilarious gif has gone viral, and is being sold as Michelle Obama "eye-rolling" John Boehner. As fun as that would be, that's not what's going on. He's saying something to her and she's getting ready to acknowledge him but their attention is pulled away by something being announced—after this moment, everyone is seen applauding.

But that hasn't stopped right-wingers from attacking her for what they're terming her "classless" (catch the subtext?) behavior...and, of course, for eating with her elbows on the table.

Whenever I'm about to speak with a woman for this blog, I always have a minor panic attack wondering if I should assert that even though it's called "Boy Culture" I love women, too.

Janis Ian: It's meaningful to be recognized for anything, all the more because I've been in the music industry since I was 12 or 13! The company for this nomination is astonishing, though. I keep thinking there's a joke in there somewhere—an ex-president, the First Lady and three lesbians walk into a bar...
